About Drawing Lessons…
Drawing is the foundation of all visual arts practices.
In our time together, I will help you understand exactly what drawing means. We will discuss different theories of drawing and pay close attention to mark-making and the way that line functions as a discursive language. Drawing lessons are ideal for a more technically-minded individual who likes to know how things work, and for those who aspire to make representational art in any medium.
If that sounds like you, let’s get to the heart of matters and start making some marks!
We will cover things like:
-Drawing with graphite, charcoal, and ink
-Fundamentals of drawing like line, form, value, and perspective
-Structural and gestural drawing from life
-Theories and traditions of drawing
-Drawing as a foundation for interdisciplinary practice AND drawing as an end in itself
Prerequisites:
-Absolutely no previous experience required! Drawing is a great place to start if you are completely new to visual art.
